January 2008, New York, NY—Times Square lived up to its nickname of “crossroads of the world” as an estimated one million people from around the world came together to rock out and rock in 2008 with superstar performers Kid Rock, Velvet Revolver and up-and-coming wunderkind act “The Bravery.” The infectious energy of these powerhouse performers, and the enthusiasm of the crowds who braved the cold, made Times Square, yet again, the only place to be for New Year’s Eve 2008!
Pontiac Garage Stage – Musical Performance by Kid Rock
Kid Rock brought his trademark motor city madness to the Pontiac Garage Stage, located atop the setback roof at Two Times Square. Kid talked about how it felt that he was “meant” to be at the Pontiac Garage; the pride he takes in performing for the men and women of our Armed Forces serving overseas, having just returned from a USO tour; and his recently-released album, “Rock N Roll Jesus” (Top Dog/Atlantic, 2007).
