NYC VIBE with Robert De Niro and Friends of Hudson River Park

February, 2018 – From 59th Street to Battery Park – Hudson River Park affords New Yorkers a chance to temporarily escape Manhattan’s bustling streets. In fact, Hudson River Park is the longest waterfront park in the United States.

Each Year the friends of Hudson river park come together to honor the donors, partners, volunteers and employees that have made this stunning 4 mile waterfront park New York City’s most treasured urban oasis.

The Hudson River Park Friends are paying tribute to film legend and native New Yorker Robert De Niro – who is a longtime supporter of Hudson River Park. Additional honorees include Citi CEO Michael Corbat and Warburg Pincus managing director Justin Sadrian.

With its playgrounds, sports fields, gardens, art installations and paths – Hudson River Park celebrates the diverse cultures and neighborhoods along its shores. The non-profit Friends of The Hudson River Park raises funds to help ensure the park’s sustainability.

The Friends of Hudson River Park was founded in 1999 and has been the principle private advocacy group working to garner public dollars for the park’s construction and to monitor the park’s progress. The Friends of Hudson River Park Gala Raised 3.27 Million Dollars – More than ever before!

Hudson River Park attracts 17 million visits annually for educational and recreational activities. The park has served as an important catalyst for economic development and job creation. Over the past decade, Hudson River Park has attracted 3 Billion Dollars in new construction at 94 new buildings in adjacent neighborhoods.

Hudson River Park serves as inspiration for numerous waterfront parks throughout the United States, and represents the next great era in the history of urban parks.
